There is no technique that would make a greater contribution to the development of genetics, molecular biology and medicine than DNA sequencing. We present their short history, principles of operation, technical possibilities, applications and limitations.
Understanding this could lead to better treatments, improved diagnostics, or a deeper grasp of how the human body works — benefiting patient care globally.
