Over the past two decades, available literature on the genomics of certain neurological disorders has expanded considerably. Existing challenges, including a lack of local research funding and training opportunities in neuroscience, genomics, bioinformatics, and infrastructure, are discussed.
Understanding this could lead to better treatments, improved diagnostics, or a deeper grasp of how the human body works — benefiting patient care globally.
